Esteemed Justices of the Union Judiciary: I am writing to you to request an immediate injunction to remove the constitutional amendment proposed by BTV from the ballot for this round of elections. It has come to my attention that BTV recently filed a request to change the numbers on the propsed amendment, so as not to cut funding from BEMCo and Waltham Group. Since you honors denied this request, the amendment, as it stands, would cut funding from these organizations. However, the petition circulated with the amendment stated, "Therefore, we propose this change to increase our constitutionally mandated allocation of money from the percent given to the other Secured Major Media Organizations and Student Events." Since this statement makes no mention of BEMCo and Waltham Group, it seems apparent that the students who signed the petition to put this amendment on the ballot were not properly informed that thse groups would be affected as well. There is little reason to believe that all of the students would have still signed the petition had they known of this consequence of it. Therefore, the signatures that put this amendment on the ballot were all gathered under false pretenses and should be invalidated. Your prompt judgment on this case is requested. Thank you very much. Sincerely, David Fried Village Quad Senator
