A very successful week! Finally sat down with Dean Gendron to talk about Rights and Responsibilites we are pretty much on the same page. While I cannot be on the committee reformsing "Rights and Responsibility" I can testify either in person or in writing about how we can best possibly change R&R.
Met with Village/567 CAs and took down notes about COW-G issues, was supposed to meet with Mark Collins but he had to cancel at the last moment.
Also started a facebook group to drum up support for creating the position of "Midyear Senator" in the new Union Constitution also wrote a Resolution which I should present either at tonight's meeting or next week's meeting.

Leigh Nusbaum - October 18, 2009
I met briefly with Allyson Goose from Office of Study Abroad on Friday. We mainly talked about planning Study Abroad events in the Village (since almost everyone who lives there has indicated they are going abroad). Program ideas include: Dinners with people who are going abroad to the same part of the world, Going Abroad Orientations specific to the region (i.e. Israel, South America etc.). We also spoke about ideas for younger students such as: Region Specific Info Sessions, Dorm Raps, Study Abroad Buddies (After the younger students have completed the Preliminary Application and indicated where they plan to go abroad, they are paired with an older student who has studied abroad in that area). We plan to keep in touch on further ideas for Study Abroad and Student Union.
