Akash J. Vadalia - April 26, 2009
So, my only report is that I am happy to say it was a successful year.
COME TO MIDNIGHT BUFFET on April 29th from 11pm to 1am. It will be awesome.

Akash J. Vadalia - April 19, 2009
There are no new projects that I am pursuing this few weeks left. I am cleaning everything up in preparation for the Midnight Buffet.
The shuttle sale was unfortunately not very successful and in the red. We were hoping to get more sales but could not reach the amount we initially spent to rent the shuttles for the student body. Hopefully the next Chair of the Services Committee can achieve greater feats.
Please come to the Midnight Buffet on April 29th from 11pm to 1am. It is going to be amazing. It is in Levin Ballroom.

Nothing new.
Basically working on Services Committee stuff, and working on Deis Bikes and working on Clubs in Service. A lot of work. Chugging away for a strong finish.
Thanks for everyone who voted for me for F-Board. I really appreciate it. I will serve you well

Akash J. Vadalia - March 22, 2009
I have been working very hard on the Services Committee lately. We are curently selling tickets so tell everyone you know that the Spring Shuttle Tikects are on sale in Usdan from 12-2 and Sherman 6-8pm
I am also going to send in the Senate Money Resolution for the Midnight Buffet next week. It is looking like it is under 3500 dollars, which is excellent for the amount of food and entertainment we have.
I am also helping out with the Rwands event an testimonials which are upcoming in the following weeks.
I am going start reaching out to more clubs this week for the Clubs In Service Project so that the program and listserv and work more effectively.
I am announcing that I am going to run for reelection of Class Senator.

Akash J. Vadalia - March 15, 2009
My week is finally becoming a little less busy.
For Services Committee:
The Shuttle Tickets are on sale this week and next week and the week after. We are going to be selling tickets for NYC Penn Station and return and then also to Logan Aiport one way. Please tell your everyone you know that they will be sold in Usdan for all three weeks.
The Midnight Buffet has been set and I have gotten a total together that is a lot less that last semester but at the same time, it is going to be a blast. Remember April 29th in Levin. Tell your friends.
Clubs In Service is still trying to recruit clubs that want to become involved in community service so try to spread the word.

Akash J. Vadalia - March 8, 2009
Hi everyone,
I have been very busy lately. I have a lot on my agenda. I have been very active with Clubs In Service and am constantly contacting clubs and getting them to join the listserv.
Also as the Chair of the Services Committee, I am going to organize the buses for NYC this week and will have available times so that students can plan by next week. The prices will hopefully be the same. Also for the Services Committee, we are on the midst of finalizing the t-shirt design and many other things for the Midnight Buffet. Due to a lot of lack of student interest, I as the chair have made a pledge to spend less than $3000 this semester for the Midnight Buffet. Hopefully this will help support the other interests that need funding from the Senate or F-board (which is not clear yet because the money saved from Midnight Buffet is very tricky to use for other causes but more information will be given once I know what I can do with it).
As a senator I am helping out with the Deis Bikes under the Services Committee and I hope you are all looking forward to seeing them out and about in a couple of weeks.
I will keep you posted on my activities. Cheers.

Akash J. Vadalia - March 1, 2009
I have been wokring on two large projects for the past month now:
I have been encouraging clubs to become more community service involved with Clubs In Service. I just got three more clubs this weekend on our community service listserv and they all have plans in the near future to become involved with childrens clubs and groups in greater Waltham. This program, Clubs In Service, will hopefully continue to flourish and become a keystone for clubs in the future. I will keep everyone updated on the amount of clubs that are volunteering.
I have also been working on organizing the Midnight Buffet as the Chair of the Services Committee. So far we are ahead of schedule and I can promise the student body that this Midnight Buffet will be as or more exciting than this past semester's midnight buffet. There will be food, tons of entertainment, and of course, lots of prizes and free t-shirts. As the Chair of the Services Committee, we have decided on the dates and times for the shuttles to Logan Airport in April. They are in the weekly announcement by our Secretary, Tia Chatterjee.
I have been very busy lately and I will keep everyone updated on my Senate work.

Akash J. Vadalia - February 22, 2009
The Services Committee has been getting a lot of work done to getting the Midnight Buffet organized. The Services Committee has also been working on Spring Shuttles. The Spring Shuttles will also be having a survey this upcoming week is going to be available to all students so that they can inform our committee of preferable times and dates of buses to go to NYC and Logan Airport. This will hopefully better the Shuttle program and make the process a whole lot easier.
I have also been working on getting more clubs involved in Clubs In Service. The Student Union is now going to get more active in reaching out to clubs on this campus and alerting them of this new program.

Akash J. Vadalia - February 15, 2009
Afetr meeting with the Waltham Group Coordinators, we have decided to aware more cubs of Clubs In Service and grow our project. Currently with around 15 clubs active with our community service listserv, we are hoping to have almost all the clubs ready to serve in the community by the end of the semester.
More Senate related is that the Services Committee is working on getting a head start on Shuttles and the Midnight Buffet. There is going to be a survey sent out in the next week to see what are good times available to students to leave during April break so that we an accommodate around you.
Have a good break :)

Akash J. Vadalia - February 1, 2009
I am currently helping out the Waltham Group and put Clubs In Service into effect. We are holding a informational session on February 2nd at 8pm in Shapiro. I am hoping to get a lot of clubs involved in the community.
I am also the senate chair of the Services Committee and am holding meetings regularly from 7-8pm on Mondays. We are hoping to get off to a quick start this semester.
And By-Law related, I am hoping to pass a by-law that will enforce a rule that new clubs must have a plan to organize themselves to become a part of Clubs In Service.

Akash J. Vadalia - January 25, 2009
I am working on a collaborative school wie project with the Waltham Group in trying to get every club on campus to get involved in the community. This will be a semester long project that will try to find volunteer and service opportunities in the Waltham community that relate to the club activities. This project is goign along with the message Barack Obama sen to our nation of community service as a means of rebuilding this nation. Looking forward to a promising new semester

Akash J. Vadalia - October 12, 2008
I have communicated with a large number of the freshman constituency and they would prefer to have a dance in the first semester for freshman only. I am going to try to get some funding for this event and my fellow senator is helping me organize this event.
