Not much to be done this week.

I have been compiling lists of fixes that need to given to Mark Collins at the next COWG meeting and hope to get those fixed before the end of the semester.

UJ decided unanimously to make the SMR for the Robert King event "null and void"

Good Luck with Midterms and Papers

Things I did this week...

1. Discussed facilities changes that Mark Collins will be making upon our request.

2. Got the Flu

3. Co-Argued the case against the passing of SMR S09-5 (Bil Ayers SMR)

I plan on contacting all of you (somehow) so you can all send me one facilities issue that you want to see fixed this semester (in Massell or anywhere on campus)

So this week I was and will be doing some house cleaning on several important issues.

COWG Campus Operations Working Group
-Today Wednesday was our first meeting with Mark Collins(VP of Campus Operations) I couldn't make because the time conflicted with Linear Algebra; however I made sure that certain important problems were on the agenda and advocated for. Such as? you may ask. Such as a renovation of the Shapiro Kitchen. Getting holes fixed in the ceiling of the lounge. Getting the Usen who Cash machine working. and most importantly

FIXING THE WATER Problem that causes the water to fluctuate between burning hot and freezing cold with absolutely no middle.

If you have any issues with any facility on Campus e-mail me any time. As one of the two Chairmen for COWG I will make sure it gets fixed.

Office Hours!

I will be holding office hours every after noon from 3:30 to 4:30 in the Shapiro Basement Lounge. Stop by any time you have a problem or just want to talk or watch TV...whatever If it is one thing that the Senate stresses it is Community togetherness in working together. I want to assure everyone that I will work my hardest at making anything I work with the best and most efficient. There comes a time when you need to remove parts from a machine to make it run faster, and I promise that I will remove anything or one that is not working for the best interest of the students at the most efficient pace.

I encourage ALL of you to go to the TOWN HALL MEETING IN UPPER SHERMAN WHERE YOU CAN DISCUSS WITH FACULTY AND ADMINISTRATION ABOUT POLICY CHANGES AND HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. THURSDAY 4:30!!!!!!!

HAVE A GREAT BREAK!

Nipun Marwaha - January 11, 2009

Happy Happy Happy New Year!

TO ALL MASSELLITES:

We start this new year/semester/beginning with new companions. My good wishes for the new year for all our new Massell Residents in USEN.

My belief is that most of our facilities related issues should be cleared up by the time we move in.

As the new Co-Chair's of COWG (Campus Operations Working Group) Phillips Loh and I will be working to make sure no place on campus is in anything less than acceptable living and working conditions.

Please feel free to drop a comment or request about facilities in any of our boxes(located in Sherman, Usdan, and the Campus Center)

I hope to see you all next week and enjoy the last few days of break

Sincerely,
Nipun

As the semester comes to a close I want to update all my constituents on what I have been doing for you guys this semester.

I compiled a list of all the facilities problems in Massell and created a report and submitted it to the Senate and Executive Board. If you want a digital copy, e-mail me and I will send you a copy.

You will slowly see changes occur as the semester go on.

I need your help as well to make Massell a better place to live. As you see something go wrong make sure to submit a work order. If the problem is not fixed within two weeks tell me and I will make sure to get the job done.

Next semester I will be joining the Dining committee and Club Support Committee in order to help more people across campus.
