Union to Co-Host Town Halls on Academic Restructuring

This week, The Student Union will co-host two town hall forums on academic restructuring this Monday Feb. 9th and Thursday Feb. 12th from 4:30-6 pm in Upper Sherman’s Hassenfeld Conference Room.

Dean of Arts & Sciences Adam Jaffe and the Faculty Senate are convening Committees on Academic Restructuring to determine potential changes in the Brandeis Academy. The Union has secured student representation on all of these committees. In order for Dean Jaffe, the Faculty reps, and the student reps to obtain the opinions and ideas of the greater student body, we are holding these town halls. The Dean’s Office and the Union are working together in this endeavor.

Union President Jason Gray says of the town halls, “These events are a great opportunity for student voices to impact the decision-making processes of the university.”
