Brandeis Student Union Successfully Advocates for Dining Reforms

The Student Union has successfully advocated for major changes in dining options on campus. The Student Dining Committee, led by Co-Chairs Jenna Brofsky and Jenna Rubin, has been promised an array of reforms requested on behalf of students. Dining Services will be implementing the following changes:
Einstein Bros. Bagels
• Adding more to the C-Meal program
• Bistro Salad, Roasted Turkey and Tuna Sandwich.
• Bananas
The Stein Restaurant
• Stein Favorites, Deis Dip and Sweet Potato Fries, return to the menu immediately
• Soon the return of the “5 and 5” Menu – To include the requested return of Grilled Cheese with Tomato and Tuna Melt. Five items, five dollars each.
Expanding the current P.O.D market C-Meal program to include:
• Introducing vegan noodle options that are prepared and packaged on-site as part of the existing grab and go program.
• Dannon yogurts
• Soy Milk
Nutritional Facts
• Nutritional facts posted at Quiznos and Einstein Bros Bagels.
Cage Free Eggs
• Increase awareness and advertising surrounding Dining Services Cage Free Egg option at all locations.
Usdan Boulevard
• Kosher To-Go program to include new sandwich and salad cycle, including the return of requested favorite Italian Sub.
Sherman Dining Hall
• Adding a low sodium sauce option to the Wok Station.
• Weekend Breakfast to include Eggs and Omelets made to order on request starting at 9:30 a.m. on the weekends.
