Obtaining Audiovisual Equipment

Media Services offers audiovisual eqiupment rental and services to Student Union groups at reduced cost. Such equipment and services include video editing bays, tape duplication, slide and data projectors, wired and wireless microphones, sound systems, video cameras, and televisions.

Equipment checkout is located in Goldfarb Library, Level III, Room 15. Equipment must be reserved at least one week in advance and is subject to availability. Call the Equipment Coordinator at x64635 to schedule pickup or delivery.

Subject to the terms and conditions listed on the bottom of the media rates page, Student Union recognized organizations can rent equipment at a substantial discount. Some of the terms include:

The equipment must be used for an official group function.
Equipment may not be removed from campus.
Any equipment that is damaged or stolen will be repaired and/or replaced at the expense of the borrower.

Your group can obtain funding for equipment through normal channels, such as by requesting money from the Finance Board or Senate. Before requesting money, you should create an itemized listing of the equipment you need and then determine the student group discount rate that applies by using the table on the bottom of the Media Rates page.
