Spring 2008 Round 1



Monday, March 10 Elections announced to Union
After announcement Sign-ups officially begin outside the Union Office (Shapiro Campus Center 301)
Thursday, March 20 5:59pm Sign-ups end
6:00pm Mandatory Candidates Meeting* (Student Union Office - Shapiro Campus Center 301)
After meeting Candidates may begin to campaign
Saturday, March 29th 9:00pm
  • Candidate website link and picture due (must be emailed to elections@lists.brandeis.edu by candidate)
  • Official club endorsements due (must be emailed by club leadership to elections@lists.brandeis.edu and CC'd to candidate)
  • Website links, pictures, and club endorsements WILL NOT be accepted after the deadline!
Sun, March 30 12:01am Polls open (primary round)
7:00pm Attend Senate meeting (optional)
11:59pm Polls close (primary round)
Tues, April 1 12:01am Polls open (final round)
11:59pm Polls close (final round)

5:30pm Mandatory Candidates Meeting* (Student Union Office - Shapiro Campus Center 301)
After meeting Candidates may begin to campaign
Monday, April 14 9:00pm
  • Candidate website link and picture due (must be emailed to elections@lists.brandeis.edu by candidate)
  • Official club endorsements due (must be emailed by club leadership to elections@lists.brandeis.edu and CC'd to candidate)
  • Website links, pictures, and club endorsements WILL NOT be accepted after the deadline!
Tuesday, April 15 12:01am Polls open (primary round)
11:59pm Polls close (primary round)
Thursday, April 17 12:01am Polls open (final round)
11:59pm Polls close (final round)

*If a candidate cannot attend this meeting, he or she must email elections@lists.brandeis.edu before the meeting begins (preferably one day in advance, please).

Results will be announced to candidates immediately following their tabulation and verification by the elections commission. Results will be certified and announced publicly following a grace period for complaints against the elections.
