A2. Hillel Elections!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's that time of year again! The Hillel Board elections process is
about to begin! If you are interested in running for a position, here
are some important dates to consider. Remember, Hillel elections are
open (for both candidates and voters) to ALL Brandeis students.
Important Dates for Candidates:
**Declaration of Candidacy- 9am Monday, April 6 to 7pm Tuesday, April
21
Sign up on the bulletin board outside of the Hillel Lounge (If you are
abroad, pick a proxy)
**MANDATORY Candidates Meeting- 7pm Tuesday, April 21 in the Hillel
Lounge
**Candidates' Forum- Wednesday, April 22 @ 8:30pm (location TBA) Please
send a written statement and digital picture to brodie@brandeis.edu
**Elections- Thursday, April 23 (Online) at noon to Friday, April 24 at
noon. All Brandeis Students are invited to vote!
All candidates and potential candidates are especially encouraged to
attend a Hillel Board Meeting to meet the current members and see what
might lie in store. Meetings take place Thursday evenings at 7:00pm in
the Hillel Lounge.

Seniors and first-years, this weekend is your last chance to participate
in an online survey about student use of information technology and
enter a lottery to win an Amazon.com gift certificate! Help Brandeis
learn how students use technology in their courses and around campus!
The survey closes on Monday, April 6.

A5. Join the Brandeis Pluralism Alliance Steering Committee in 09-10
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Brandeis Pluralism Alliance (BPA) invites applications for new
members to join the Pluralism Alliance Steering Committee, which is
responsible for advising all of the initiative’s activities. The
Steering Committee also selects grant recipients for projects
addressing issues of identity, pluralism and unity at Brandeis, and its
members serve as liaisons to grants recipients and organize Pluralism
Alliance meetings for representatives of student organizations (and
other faculty, staff and students) to share and discuss ongoing

A8. Residence Life, ICC and Trisk Openness and Understanding Training!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
We would like to invite you to the first LGBT and Queer Allied Openness
and Understanding Training (LGBTQA OUT). LGBTQA OUT is a new ally
training program sponsored by the Intercultural Center, Queer Resource
Center, and Department of Residence Life. The training focuses on
sexual orientation and gender identity issues on college campuses,
including identity development and coming out experiences.
The main goals of the program are: to create a visible allied community
of undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and staff; to
raise awareness of issues and concerns surrounding sexual orientation
and gender identity; and to provide resources and support for LGBTQA
students, faculty, and staff at Brandeis.
The first program will be held on April 24 from 2-4 PM in the
Multipurpose Room in the Shapiro Campus Center. The program is open to
all Brandeis undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, and staff. To

Space is limited to 25 participants. Applicants who are not offered a
space for this training will be put on a wait list. Additional
trainings will be offered in the fall semester, and those on the wait

Step right up, Ladies and Gentlemen, to the event of a lifetime.
Brandeis's only all girls folk/folk-pop a cappella group Too Cheap For
Instruments proudly presents a night filled with fun, laughter, games,
music, prizes,contests, food, activities, juggling, FACE PAINTING, a
Costume Contest and more!
Come hear the musical talent of TCFI while enjoying the many escapades
of the Brandeis Juggling Club and the inspired singing of Jewish Fella
A cappella (JFA).
Munch delectable appetizers and desserts while playing games and
winning prizes. Make sand art and decorate cookies. And most
importantly, come enjoy a night of FUN!
Admission to the concert, which will start at 8 pm, is FREE but in
order to keep providing our amusing talents, we must charge for tickets
