community in the United States on issues that improve wages, benefits,
and conditions for workers, and give voice to workers in low-wage jobs.
Her recent book, "Wage Theft in America: How Millions of Working
Americans Are Not Getting Paid – And What We Can Do About," was
released in November 2008. It is the first and only book to document
the wage theft crisis in the nation and propose practical solutions for
addressing it.
Kim will speak to students and other members of the Brandeis community
about her life’s work in organizing and mobilizing people of all
backgrounds to work together to effect social change. She firmly
believes in the value of cross-cultural and interreligious
