A1. Apply to be on a Student Union University Committee!

Do you think that Dining services could be better? Disgruntled with the
Health Center? Always wanted to know how a professors get their
teaching awards?
Then apply to be on a Student Union University Committee!
These Committees work on a wide array of issues on campus and are an
excellent way to get involved on campus. Applications must be received
by Friday, September 5 at noon, with interviews being conducted that
Sunday, September 7. No previous experience needed, just a passion and
commitment to positive change on campus.

A2. Join the BPA- applications are being accepted

The Brandeis Pluralism Alliance (BPA) invites applications for new
members to join the Steering Committee, which is responsible for
advising all of the initiative's community-building activities and for
selecting student and faculty grant recipients for projects addressing
issues of identity, pluralism and unity at Brandeis. Applications are
due Sunday, September 7, 2008 at midnight, and are available online at
www.brandeis.edu/das/programs/bpa.

B1. Mon - WBRS New Members Meeting- open to anyone interested in joining

September 1, 2008 - 08:00PM Shapiro CC TV Lounge (1st floor)
WBRS welcomes anyone interested in news, sports, talk, or music of all
genres. Come to this meeting to learn how to become a DJ or get
involved in any other aspect of WBRS, from tech to publicity. The
meeting takes place in the Shapiro Campus Center TV lounge, which is on
the first floor, across from the theater.

Are you or your student club/organization interested in organizing a
project or event that promotes issues of pluralism and identity at
Brandeis? You may be eligible for a grant from the Brandeis Pluralism
Alliance (BPA). Join us to learn how you can apply for funding and to
network, brainstorm, build coalitions, and consider ways in which you
or your organization contribute to the larger Brandeis community and to
your own constituency. Refreshments will be provided; RSVP to

September 2, 2008 - 06:30PM Shapiro Campus Center Atrium
The Justice welcomes anyone interested in journalism, photography, art,
advertising, and business management to attend this event, where
Brandeis journalism faculty will speak and Justice editors will be on
hand to meet with any student who wants to get involved with the
newspaper. Expect snacks.

B4. Punk Rock & Roll first meeting of the semester

September 2, 2008 - 09:00PM Shapiro Campus Center Multipurpo
Punk Rock & Roll welcomes all new members at the first meeting of the
semester, where we will discuss the upcoming Dan Deacon and Say Hi
shows at the end of September, and ideas for concerts in October and
November. Come learn how you can help bring cool bands to campus!
