Monday October 22nd, 2007
7-9pm in the Shapiro Atrium
This year we're kicking off SEAC Week with a brand-new event, our very
own SEAC Nite. Learn about the 11 Southeast Asian countries (can you
name them all?) and experience our versions of traditional song and
dance from many of these cultures. And don't miss out on FREE Southeast
Asian food from Little India, Erawan of Siam & Baan Thai! This event is
co-sponsored by the Brandeis Pluralism Alliance.

Tuesday, October 23, 2007
A former student leader of August 8 1988 student revolution that led
the military to open fire killing thousands of students, civilians and
monks. He'll talk about his first hand experiences. It is a great
opportunity for the members of ICC and imperative that us as a
community as aware of it. Recently, Burma/Myanmar has been making
headline news on CNN and BBC. This event is co-sponsored by the
Brandeis Pluralism Alliance and the Ethics center.

*Karaoke/BBQ nite*

7-9pm in the ICC Lounge
Take a break & come out to our Karaoke/BBQ night to show off your
talent, make your own Vietnamese Summer Rolls, and get some Filipino
Chicken BBQ!

*Halo-Halloween*
Thursday, October 25, 2007
7-9pm in the ICC Lounge
Get ready for Halloween, SEAC-style! We will be showing a Thai horror
film, "Shutter", and we'll be serving Halo-Halo, a Filipino dessert.
This sweet treat is made up of many exotic fruit preserves (jackfruit,
red mungo bean, ube, macapuno coconut), shaved ice, and ice cream. A
scary and delicious end to SEAC Week '07!

B4. Wed - Environmentalist Mark Orlowski coming to Brandeis

Mark Orlowski, the Founder and Executive Director of the Sustainable
Endowments Institite will be coming to speak to the Brandeis community
about improving environmental sustainability on university campuses.
Mr. Orloski has presented to students, faculty, administrators,
trustees, and alumni at more than 60 universities across the country,
and we are honored to have him speak at Brandeis. The Sustainable
Endowments Institute is a nonprofit organization engaged in research
and education to advance sustainability in campus operations and
endowment practices. The institute grades our nation's 200 colleges
with the largest endowments on how sustainable they are based on 26
indicators.

This FREE event is sponsored by Students for Environmental Action, who
welcomes the entire Brandeis community to attend. Refreshments will be
provided!
